As a child and champion boy rider in the show ring, Michael was destined to be consumed by his passion for horses, in particular thoroughbreds. Michael served his apprenticeship to the Australian racing industry at Randwick with Betty Lane and Warner (Tiger) Holland, where he rode and cared for the likes of Timothy, Nickson, and Butterfly Star.
His experience gained under the tutelage of Betty and Tiger was unique affording him the opportunity to learn and apply his trade of conditioning racehorses.
In 1996, Michael obtained his trainers license following an extended period serving under his father Russell, a successful trainer at Wyong Racecourse on the NSW Central Coast. Russell remains an integral part of Michael Clout Racing today.
Michael has developed an ability to help ordinary horses achieve extraordinary results. Whilst he has achieved considerable success with young horses his patience and understanding has seen him succeed with tried horses where others have failed, helping them to achieve the full extent of their ability and potential.
A combination of strong communication skills and a devotion to pleasing his clients guarantees that horses presented to the races are immaculate and conditioned to do their Job.
Owners or those wishing to become clients of Michael Clout Racing can visit the stable on course at Wyong at any time. Please contact Michael to arrange a meeting on 0418 254 491. |
