Jimmy and Spin Ball Rosehill bound
Following a stunning 3rd at Randwick on Saturday 19th December Jimmy Fortunes heads to Roshill and will contest a 1900m benchmark 75 race on Saturday 3rd January. Jimmy's recovery from his previous start has been outstanding and should be very competitive in slightly weaker class. Peter Robl will again ride the horse.
After doing a lot wrong at Hawsbury to still finish 4th Spin Ball will also head to Rosehill on Saturday and contest a 1400m Benchmark 75 for 3yr olds he is well enough and will enjoy the bigger track so I would expect him to be a danger at good odds.

Sounion debuts at Gosford 31/12
3yr old Elusive City filly Sounion will debut at Gosford on Thursday 31/12/2009 in a 3yr maiden 1000m. Whilst her trial form may read as average this filly has been learning to race and will benefit from the start at Gosford. The softer track should also be to her liking.

Dubhaya on track

3yr old fllly Dubhaya will contest   a benchmark 60  1200m race at Wyong on Synday. The filly is well and this race will provide a stepping stone to her next assignment over 1400m in 2 weeks time.

Spin Ball out in the rough
3yr old Tiger hill gelding may have his work cut out again at Wyong on Sunday. From 4 acceptances Spin ball has amazingly drawn the outside barrier each time. Scratched from Newcastle last Saturday Spin Ball again jumps from the outside ally on Sunday. His trial form appears outstanding winning 2 recent trials by a cumulative margin of 18lengths. His most recent trial at Gosford was stunning with minor gear changes making a difference to him. To be ridden by former top country jockey Justin Stanley Spin Ball will race well.

Jimmy aims for Rosehill Fortunes
Following a slashing 4th at Rosehill 2 weeks ago. Jimmy Fortunes line up in the same race again tomorrow. A Benchmark 80 1500m. The horse has done well since his last start and will, if he gets a run be very hard to beat.

"Katobar" salutes again.

"Katobar" finished too well for his opponents in the gloom of the last race on day 1 of the Wyong Cup Carnival, the El Moxie gelding giving Trainer Michael Clout a well deserved win & keeping the local Trainers flag flying on a day which the Warwick Farm Trainers certainly dominated.

A change in race gear & attitude from "Katobar" was certainly the key to the win, ridden perfectly by International Jockey Glynn Schofield he had Katobar near the pace & always keeping his mind on the job. As Trainer Michael Clout has said, "Katobar is the type of horse that needs everything going for him in a race", & yesterday he got that & delivered the desired result.

Katobar has been ultra consistant since joining the Clout Stable, with yesterdays win pushing his prizemoney to over $42000.00 & there seems plenty more to come.

"Jimmy Fortunes" looking for Group 1 Glory.
The Clout stable are excited at the prospects of a Queensland Derby start for "Jimmy Fortunes" after his slashing third place at Doomben on May 9th behind "Za Magic" and the Guy Walter Trained "Orca". Jimmy was aided by a perfect ride by champion jockey Corey Brown who again takes the reins for this weeks Rough Habit Plate, we are all hoping he can finish the race off in similar style and earn a start in the Group 1 Queensland Derby on June 6th at Eagle Farm which would be a huge thrill for his owners long term Clout supporters, Jason Clarke, Glen Patterson & Grant Morrison.

Jimmy Fortunes is by the Coolmore Stallion "Choisir" and has been ultra consistant with 10 starts for a Rosehill win, 3 seconds & 2 thirds.

Laurier to contest Gosford Guineas
Three year old Honours List filly Laurier will contest tomorrows Gosford Guineas over 1200m

Laurier arrived in the Stable in December following an extended spell. Formerly trained on the far Nth Coast of NSW
she had recorded 2 wins from 2 starts in the region as a 2 year old.

The filly failed to handle a very shifty Hawkebury track and is expected to show a significant improvement to be competitive in a tough Guineas field.

Laurier will be ridden by Jockey Paul Goode. Paul recently returned from injury and has been riding trackwork regularly for the stable. The former globe trotting jockey has settled in Australia and is making a solid return to riding.
